Florus complete garden design

2019 – Year in review

2019 saw us working all over Hampshire and Dorset on varied projects, large and small. We are always delighted by the variety of projects we are asked to design, from small front gardens with parking issues, to challenging, sloping back gardens with sheer drops at the end! We have seen a definite trend in more natural planting with the desire to encourage wildlife into the garden. Wildlife ponds and water generally in the garden increased in popularity and also parents trying to create an outdoor space that children will want to get out and explore. Low maintenance gardens are a common request, with busy working families or retired people that don't want to be a slave to the garden. Selecting suitable materials to construct the hard landscaping is essential, as well as sourcing the right plants and spacing them correctly so they do not have to be continually pruned to keep them under control.
