Examples of Contemporary Gardens

Contemporary Family Garden

A large entertaining area, hot tub and raised beds were softened by airy, romantic planting. Architectural topiary and tasteful evergreens provide structure and balance.

Entertaining Space

This small, shady rear garden was transformed into a modern entertaining area using an angular design in composite decking. Palms, cordylines and phormiums add to the contemporary feel and are up-lit for night time effect.

Large Terraced Garden

Previously, this area was one big grass slope which was difficult to maintain and unusable. Our clients wanted to create flat, formal lawns with wide, generous steps to maximise this space.

New Build Garden

This ultra- modern new build required a garden that was sympathetic to its design and style. Raised beds, echoing the materials used in the property and planting using a limited colour palette, add and enhance its appeal.

Small Contemporary Courtyard

This small property and surrounding garden was a new build and built as part of a plot division. It was overlooked by the existing main house and had many level issues. Our aim was to provide screening where needed with plenty of seating and colourful planted areas.

Steeply Terraced Garden

This garden also features in our 'Problem Garden' section and you will see the steep bank of felled conifers we were faced with initially. Terraced beds with Mediterranean style planting and a decked seating area have transformed this garden into a usable and stunning space.

Urban Garden

This curving, rendered wall wraps around a circular, decked seating area creating a comfortable and enclosed space. The garden unfolds behind the wall leading to beds of tasteful planting and interesting features.
