Having run her own successful business for many years,
Sue took a career break and returned to education to
continue studies in art and design. It was during the
study of fine art and art history that Sue became aware
of how her interest in gardens and plants was taking
greater influence in her work. The incorporation of
organic images, sculpture and art in nature were a recurring
theme.
After achieving academic success in these subjects it
was perhaps inevitable that her love of art and design
and understanding of plants and gardening would come
together and lead Sue to pursue a career in garden design.
Studying at Kingston Maurward College, led to meeting
Carolyn and upon qualifying in 2001, Florus Garden Design
was formed.
